A Dose of Art Therapy

The season of springtime welcomes rebirth and regeneration, as the beauty of the outdoors awakens again.  A project has begun at the hospital that focuses on connecting our patients to the serenity of nature, even if they are confined indoors or to a wheelchair.

One aspect of this project is centered on redecorating both the indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces at the hospital.  Some of the hallways have already been transformed into a showcase of paintings from artists in our community.  The added color and cheer from the images promotes the peaceful comforts of our surrounding area. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Kyle W. Rattray, MD, as the newest member of Ferry County Public Hospital District’s FCPHD) provider staff. Dr. Rattray is now serving our Ferry County community as one of our newly implemented 24/7 Emergency Room  provider staffing. In addition to primary 24/7 Emergency Room (ER), members of our
ER provider team also provide hospitalist services in our hospital and clinic “walk-in”

New Medicare Cards

In an effort to secure Medicare recipients identity, CMS will be rolling out new Medicare Cards with Medicare Benefit Information (MBI) numbers. Historically, Medicare ID cards have included the beneficiaries Social Security Numbers. However, that can be problematic if a card is misplaced or lost, causing someone’s identity to be at risk. The new MBI numbers will be a unique 11 digit identifier used only for Medicare purposes.
